Iron Mike takes on his alter ego ‘Moisture Mike’ with dry skin his new contender.
April 3, 2025
By: Lianna Albrizio
No one knows more about maneuvering life like Mike Tyson.
“Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth,” the legendary boxer once said.
“Or until they realize they’re showering with synthetic cleansers.”
So goes the slogan for his new campaign with Dr. Squatch. In it, Iron Mike assumes the role of Moisture Mike in promotion of the natural soap maker’s new Total Moisture Collection.
In the new campaign, Tyson demonstrates how real strength starts with self-care in a boxing ring-turned-zen-like spa. Bathing with the Total Moisture Collection, his new contender is dry skin, which he knocks out with a good lather of the “zero grit” bar soap in mango, shea and green tea butters.
“I’m excited to partner with Dr. Squatch on their Total Moisture line,” said Tyson. “I’ve been using it, and I’m a fan. It is important to take care of your skin, and these products make it easy. And, let’s be real, they smell great.”
The campaign, which will run across TV, YouTube, Meta, TikTok, Spotify and Pinterest, aims to ensure men heed the call to jab dryness and learn to care for and embrace their sensitivities, physically and figuratively. Sensitivity is something “The Baddest Man on the Planet” once called his biggest weakness.
“Mike Tyson and toughness are synonymous, so seeing him step into the role of ‘Moisture Mike’ sends a powerful message to guys everywhere: that real strength means taking care of yourself,” said John Ludeke, senior vice president of marketing at Dr. Squatch. “If the Baddest Man on the Planet can embrace his sensitive side through all-natural skincare, anyone can.”
The Total Moisture Collection packs a punch of shea and plant butters, antioxidants and vitamins A, C and E and is clinically proven to provide ultra-moisturization for sensitive skin.
The bar soap trio is free from synthetic fragrances and retails for $7 each, $6 for subscribers or $21 ($18 for subscribers) as a bundle.
The collection is available here and on its Amazon storefront.
